Josh officially became a part of our family on Saturday, April 9th. He looked a little sad in having to leave his home in South Bend, but he quickly realized he found love. He was taken to Petsmart so he could pick out some toys. Since we were there already, we picked up some of his favorite food and snacks. Our next stop was in Merrillville, where he met Sofia, our three-year-old granddaughter. Those two hit it off so well that it looked like Josh wanted to stay there with her! We finally made it home to Whiting. Josh quickly settled in. Late that same afternoon, he got to meet our other two granddaughters, 2 ½ year old Sienna, and her 10 month old sister, Ariana. Talk about tongue baths! Those two little girls probably didn’t need to take a bath after that! Their mama gave them one anyway. Josh is still getting used to his new home, yard, and humans. What’s good to see, is that little rambunctious boxer puppy is starting to come out in him. Boxers by nature seem to be a bit rambunctious, especially when they’re young. This little guy was somewhat timid at first. We attributed this timidness to the abuse he suffered by his previous owners prior to being rescued by his original breeder. Anyway, Josh is running around behind me, squeaking his toys, bouncing off my chair, and doing everything he could to get my attention as I’m trying to type up this update. LOL !
I best go play with him now….
